He has over 12 years of professional experience in business management. He possesses extensive
experience in state institutions, holding an expert position in public administration for four years.
From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Takov served as Executive Director and member of the Board of
Directors at the Bulgarian office of a leading South Korean energy company. Over the years, he
has held managerial and executive positions in some of the most developed business sectors. His
expertise encompasses investment management, project execution, and finance, with a focus on
agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.
He earned his master’s degree in Marketing and Economics at the University of National and
World Economy. He was awarded an educational and scientific degree of “Doctor” in the field of
"Economics, Industrial Engineering, and Management" at the Technical University of Sofia.
Currently, Dr. Takov actively engages in teaching as an assistant professor at the University of
National and World Economy. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Board of the
International Network for Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME), headquartered in Rome,
Italy. In 2021, by decision of the Council of Ministers, he was appointed as the National Contact
Point for Responsible Business Conduct of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and
Development (OECD).
