Eng. Lyubomir Kachamakov is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria (CBB). He has over 25 years of professional experience in the construction industry and serves as Executive Director of COMANS 2000 AD. His work has spanned road and railway construction, motorway development, and urban regeneration. He has delivered numerous completed projects in the water and sewage sector, as well as two hydroelectric power plants, dozens of high-rise construction projects, and unique structures such as the Catholic Cathedral of St. Joseph in Sofia.

Since 2009, he has held various positions within the structures of the CBB. He served as a member of the leadership of the Sofia Regional Representation, subsequently completed two terms as Chairman of the Sofia organisation, and served as a member of the Executive Bureau and the Board of Directors of the CBB, as well as two terms as Deputy Chairman of the Chamber. In 2025, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CBB. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Vestnik Stroitel EAD.

Eng. Lyubomir Kachamakov has represented the CBB in the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), where he was elected Vice-President of the Federation for two consecutive terms. He was subsequently nominated and elected Vice-President of the Confederation of International Contractors' Associations (CICA). He is the first Bulgarian to have served in the leadership of CICA — the largest global association representing 120 million construction workers with an annual turnover exceeding 7 trillion US dollars — and also the first Bulgarian to have served two consecutive terms as Vice-President of FIEC.
