Leszek Wiwała holds a PhD in law and specialises in regulatory impact assessment and the economic analysis of law. Since June 2019, he has served as President-Director General of the Polish Petroleum Industry and Trade Organisation (POPiHN), which represents the largest companies operating in Poland’s fuel market.
He graduated in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, as well as from the Centre for English and European Law. For over 14 years, he worked in the spirits industry. Between 2009 and 2018, he served as President of the Management Board of the Polish Spirits Industry. From 2009 to 2011, he was Vice-Chair of spiritsEUROPE in Brussels.
