Natalia Efremova is the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, with many years of experience in public administration, gained through various expert and leadership roles in the fields of labor and social policy and the management of European Union funds.
In 2022, she became Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, responsible for European funds and programs and international cooperation.
She held this position from April 2024 to May 2026. Her portfolio included coordinating labor market policies, labor and social security rights, living standards and demographic policy, international cooperation, and the management of European funds and programs.
She has served as National Coordinator for the European Year of Skills. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. St. Cyril and Methodius.”
