Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov is a Bulgarian scholar, academic, expert in educational policy, and public official with a long-standing contribution to the development of Bulgarian education.

He is a Professor of Education Management at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski", where he has held a number of academic and administrative positions. He has served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Education Management, and Director of the Department for Qualification and Professional Development of Teaching Specialists.

Prof. Tsokov is the author of over 100 scientific publications in Bulgaria and abroad, dedicated to education management, educational policy, the digitalisation of school education, innovations in teaching, and the professional development of educators. He has specialised in educational leadership in New York, as well as at numerous European universities and academic centres.

In June 2023, Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov was appointed Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, subsequently also serving in the role as caretaker minister. In his ministerial capacity, he worked actively toward the modernisation of the education system, the introduction of innovative teaching methods, the advancement of digital education, support for teachers, and the improvement of the quality of instruction in Bulgarian schools and universities.

Following the conclusion of his ministerial term, he continued his work as an expert and leader in the field of education, including as Director of the Institute of Education at the Ministry of Education and Science.

Through his academic expertise, public engagement, and consistent commitment to the advancement of Bulgarian education, Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov has established himself as one of the leading figures in educational policy and pedagogical sciences in Bulgaria.
