Green Transition Forum 6.0

Rumen Radev is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association. He was Minister of Energy of Republic of Bulgaria from June 6, 2023 to April 9, 2024 as an established expert with many years of management experience in the area of industry and innovation. He has been part of the Asarel Group as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Asarel-Investment EAD since 2012. He is also a member of the Management Board of Asarel-Medet JSC and Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association for Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Energy Storage.

Rumen Radev is actively involved in policies and strategies development in the field of energy and sustainable development. His professional path includes management positions in the Zagora Holding until 2023 where he was Strategy and Planning Director and later Financial Director. Since 2006, he has been a member of the National Innovation Council.

Rumen Radev has a solid academic background: he graduated in Physics from St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, with specializations at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna and the Institute for Transuranium Elements, Karlsruhe. He worked on nuclear fuel modeling at the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Banking from the University of National and World Economy.

His extensive experience at the intersection of industry, energy and innovation makes him a valuable participant in the Green Transition 6.0 forum.
